All that and a bag of potato chips… and a cellphone!

No, there are no potato chip vendors (that we know of, anyway) that are offering free cellphones with purchase of a bag of ‘tater chips. But, what would you do if you happened to find an ancient Nokia (NYSE: NOK) mobile phone inside your favorite bag of chips? Wisconsiner Emma Schweiger recently faced that exact same predicament when she opened her bag of Clancy’s Ripple Potato Chips to find a dingy, old Nokia cellphone inside.
Sure, finding a brand-new Nokia cellphone in your bag of chips would be a nice surprise. But, finding a used, dirty handset getting intimate with your snacks is the exact opposite – it’s downright nasty. In fact, the cellphone even had a T-Mobile (NYSE: DT) SIM card inside, indicating that it was someone’s personal cellphone right up until it fell in a bag of chips.
Aldi, the potato chip’s distributor, recalled all chips from the offending batch and offered Emma a replacement bag of chips. She declined the offer, saying, “You kind of don’t want chips for a while.” Sadly, Emma will never again know the thrill and suspense that comes with eating straight from the bag. “I will never, ever eat chips out of a bag again,” she said. “They will be dumped in the bowl.”
The FDA is launching an investigation into the matter.
Now, the real question is – can you identify the Nokia cellphone in the picture?

nokia 6822?
A Nokia 5800, not so bad 7 years ago, it’s got the snap open keyboard. All I keep thinking is that if that got and into a bag of chips unnoticed…what else could…
