Mio has announced a new Windows Mobile 6.1 device, dubbed the K70, at ceBIT recently. This looks to be an evolution of the Mio Lovebird spotted last spring, only they’ve managed to cram 3G, a marginally better screen and processor in there. Here are the specs:
- Qualcomm (NSDQ: QCOM)® MSM7201A 528 MHz processor
- GSM Quad-band (850, 900, 1800, 1900), GPRS/EDGE, HSPDA/HSUPA (850/1900/2100)
- 400 x 240 (WQVGA), 3.5″ Transmissive TFT Touchscreen
- 3.0 megapixel camera with autofocus, 4X digital zoom
- 1000 mAh Litium-Ion battery, standby time: 200hrs, talk time: 4.5hrs, GPS time: 4hrs
- Windows Mobile® 6.1 Professional
- 115.3 × 61.5 × 11.9mm, 115g
- GPS, Stereo Bluetooth, Wi-Fi
By the looks of it, this sucker will be butting heads directly with the nüvifone in the navigation category; even though Mio might have seniority over Garmin in the cellular space, it’s bound to be a close race.
