Notes Pro iPhone app partially syncs notes with Google Docs

Notes Pro is a neat notes app for the iPhone that lets you take notes, search and partially sync them with Google (NSDQ: GOOG) Docs. The “partially” part is problematic, as far as I’m concerned. It can only upload notes to your Google Docs, but can’t read existing documents. If it provided two-way syncing as well as copy/paste functionality as some other note taking iPhone apps do, I would instantly grab it. This way, I’m still thinking do I actually need it, even though it costs only a buck ($0.99).
On the plus side, Notes Pro supports landscape view/edit and the search functionality is pretty solid, mimicking Spotlight from the Mac. But without proper syncing, I just can’t “push the button,” especially after falling in love with Evernote (although it also lacks copy/paste).
Anyway, it’s good to see mobile apps starting to take advantage of the existing web services, allowing cross-platform functionality. Hopefully, the folks behind Notes Pro are reading this and they’ll do something about their app, to make it better. Let me repeat once again: add copy/paste and full syncing with Google Docs, and I’m all yours.

Thank for shining light on this new notes app. For me Noter2 has been a blessing. It’s easy and it syncs with my computer perfectly. http://dbelement.com/apps/noter2
