Sprint LG Rumor 2

Thanks to the Sprint Users forums, we caught the first image of the upcoming LG Rumor 2. As you can see from the image above, aside from tweaking few lines here and there, the upcoming device is pretty much the same as the original. To be fair, we’ve no idea what’s changed under the hood, but if LG keeps the same logic for the Rumor 2 — i.e. make it an affordable QWERTY device — I doubt we’ll see that many upgrades. On the other hand, I guess they’ll pre-install tons of social networking and instant messaging software on the device, to make it an ideal companion for the young generations. Will they succeed? It’s hard to tell at this stage, but I’m sure we’ll be able to reach to a better conclusion at some point in the spring when LG goes all official with the Rumor 2. Stay tuned…

Finally, to make the news a bit ironic (and since we don’t have an official announcement), we’re filing it under our “Rumors” section. :)

If LG can launch this phone for Sprint, it must be a big step forward from the LG’s perspective. You know Sprint and T-Mobile USA are getting mostly devices from Samsung only – from Korean vendors perspective and/or due to the Samsung’s too much prevalance.
