Palringo’s latest update to their multi-platform instant messaging app now includes support for Facebook IM and the Nokia 5800. Wait a second, even leaks of the next version of Facebook for BlackBerry don’t show any signs of instant messaging support, yet Palringo’s got it. It’s not a huge surprise when agile third parties can pump out cool features more quickly than the platform originator, but it seem like instant messaging is a bit of a no-brainer for both Facebook and RIM. A few solutions exist for Windows Mobile, like FacebookIM and eBuddy. In any case, Palringo supports a bunch of clients, like Jabber, AIM, GTalk, ICQ, Live Messenger – the whole shebang, across plenty of platforms, iPhone included. palringo works for my. i just downloaded the new symbian version and love being able to IM both my facebook contacts and msn all in one app.

there are always improvements to be made to the UI, but it certainly isn’t buggy.

why is it that so many people complain about applications fail to provide their name and prefer to post as Anon?
