Palringo’s latest update to their multi-platform instant messaging app now includes support for Facebook IM and the Nokia 5800. Wait a second, even leaks of the next version of Facebook for BlackBerry don’t show any signs of instant messaging support, yet Palringo’s got it. It’s not a huge surprise when agile third parties can pump out cool features more quickly than the platform originator, but it seem like instant messaging is a bit of a no-brainer for both Facebook and RIM. A few solutions exist for Windows Mobile, like FacebookIM and eBuddy. In any case, Palringo supports a bunch of clients, like Jabber, AIM, GTalk, ICQ, Live Messenger – the whole shebang, across plenty of platforms, iPhone included.
