Google Image Search results page gets a revamp for Android and iPhone in the US, UK and Japan

Google (NSDQ: GOOG) has unveiled a new Image Search results page for Android, iPhone, and iPod Touch in the US, the UK, and Japan. The improved layout shows up to 20 images on a single results page, and allows users to quickly get the details for images of interest. Among the things you can do are: see a larger thumbnail, visit the web page containing the image, or view the image by itself in full size. In addition, the new results page also supports the so called “search-by-style” filters, which allows users to restrict search results to people’s faces, clipart, line drawings, or photo content.

Sounds cool. Hopefully, Google will extend this to other markets and devices as well. In the meantime, you can always visit google.com and not your country’s specific Google homepage to try it out.
