iSkoot launches KalaidaLive SDK to allow OEMs to easily bring web services to the consumers

Few days ago we covered iSkoot’s Kalaida platform, which enables operators to offer various web services, Twitter included, to their customers, even in the case they [customers] own a feature phone. Now iSkoot is going one step further with the announcement of KalaidaLive SDK, which allows handset manufacturers to add real-time mobile Internet functionality to any handset. As a result, interested handset makers could easily (iSkoot also says affordably) bundle popular web services with their products — including Facebook, instant messaging, RSS feeds, email, Twitter and other social media.

According to the official release, KalaidaLive offers an industry-first client-server architecture that concentrates all service logic in the network and delivers Web services to the handset over a carrier-friendly, data-optimized connection. Moreover, the SDK is designed for simplicity, scalability, adaptability, carrier-grade robustness and support for existing open standards.

Commenting on the announcement, iSkoot’s Jacob Guedalia said: “The iSkoot KalaidaLive SDK enables all phones to access the same server platform as iSkoot’s Notifier application, allowing any phone to receive live Web updates.
