Sony Ericsson MS500 Bluetooth speakers

Today, Sony Ericsson (NYSE: SNE) unveiled a new Bluetooth speaker – MS500. Touted as the company’s “first outdoor Bluetooth speaker,” the small device (measures just 113×83x45 mm) is designed to fit into the palm (NSDQ: PALM) of a hand and so light it can be taken anywhere and everywhere — it weighs just 155 grams with batteries, or 105 grams without batteries.

We’re talking about a Bluetooth 2.1+EDR enabled speakers here, which support A2DP and AVRCP profiles. The MS500 gets the power from 2 AA batteries that are included in the package and which allow it to stream music for up to 5 hours. Sony Ericsson hasn’t mentioned the release date in its official press release, but we do know the speakers will be available in two color options: trendy orange and black, and chic white and pink. Price was not revealed, as well…
