LG Arena with AT&T 3G bands gets FCC approval

I’m not sure how we missed this one, but the FCC has cleared the LG KM900 aka Arena back in January. The version FCC was dealing with (KM900QA) has all the right bands (850/1900 MHz) to sing along AT&T (NYSE: T)’s 3G network, meaning we could see this baby hitting the States in no time.

Everyone’s quiet at this stage and I guess we’ll have to wait for the CTIA and then see AT&T going all official with the Arena launch. It may compete with their other hit (iPhone), but the Arena looks like it would solidly complement AT&T’s sales in the tough economic times. After all, so far the LG has reported more than 1 million units pre-ordered and they have just started offering the device in Europe!

As a reminder, the LG Arena is arguably the single best feature phone available on the market today, packing a 3-inch WVGA touchscreen, great camera, 8GB of built-in memory, WiFi and that cool looking S-Class touch UI.
