RIM has updated their Media Sync Utility to work with Windows Media Player, previously built to bring your iTunes music and playlists to your BlackBerry (NSDQ: RIMM) intact. Believe it or not some people don’t use iTunes, and I was one of them for a long time – in fact, most of my playlists didn’t survive the ill-fated transition forced by a gifted iPod Touch. Now that Media Sync works with Windows Media Player, I can get back to my roots and get my playlists in order again. Head to blackberry.com/mediasync to grab it for free!

bb media sync doesn’t seem to work at all for me. the desktop does connect. media sync just won’t connect to my computer. i left palm to get away from buggy problems like this, and don’t have the time to deal with this.
