lg logo LG pulls back from netbooks, goes for touchscreens and qwerty devices...According to Mobile Today, LG is pulling back from its forays in to laptops and netbooks – and instead is placing it’s faith in mass-market devices such as touchscreen and qwerty-keyboard devices – something that’s proven to sell well, particularly for LG.

You can expect that during the course of 2009, LG will build out it’s range with further tweaks on all the usual features – camera, screen, memory, and aesthetics. Of course, LG will continue to cater to colour variants, much as it has done previously.

I doubt this news is in anyway connected to the rumours surrounding Apple (NSDQ: AAPL)’s (supposed) netbook, but is in fact grounded in the harsh economic reality that we are now living in. LG is very good at what it does in Mobile, and I’m sure they’ll continue to innovate, and work in to the low-cost segment even further.
