Sony Ericsson has just announced a stylish little flip called the T707, with a sub-surface external LCD screen (a la Nokia 7510), 3.2 megapixel camera, and gesture recognition – ignore calls and hit snooze on the alarm with one haughty wave of the hand. Their new celebrity spokesperson Maria Sharapova is used pretty heavily in the press release… I especially like how they try to make “I can also use my practical and stylish Bluetooth™ Headset HBH-PV715 to take my calls” as something that just rolls off the tongue. C’mon, SE, how about some proper names rather than clunky model numbers? You’ll be able to grab the T707 in “Mysterious Black”, “Spring Rose” and “Lucid Blue”. No word on pricing or carrier, but it should be available in Q2 – more details are likely to emerge next week at CTIA Wireless.
