I can hear the classic shoot-em-up gamers in the crowd ooo-ing and ahhhh-ing already. Ok, maybe not that many, but there are a few that were intrigued by the headline for sure. That’s right, the classic first-person shooter DOOM has been ported over to the G1 and Android OS. While the app is still very much in Beta, anyone that has even the most remote interest in DOOM on the Android platform will want to install this to stay on top of updates as they become available.

For more information head on over to the Android Marketplace on your G1. Before you install be sure to watch the video I’ve included above. Some very handy instructions and game play tips will help you get started.
