Novatel Wireless announces Ovation MC935D HSPA USB modem

Novatel WirelessNovatel Wireless has unveiled their latest product – the compact Ovation MC935D USB Modem, which is optimized for HSPA networks in Europe with single-band 2100Mhz operation. The slim, 10mm thick device provides peak download speeds of up to 7.2 Mbps and peak upload speeds of 5.76 Mbps.

Other interesting features include:

  • Mobilink 3 Connection Manager Software and NovaSpeed broadband accelerator preinstalled on the modem’s on-board memory.
  • Downward compatibility thanks to the quad-band GRPS/EDGE radio — also used for global roaming.
  • Integrated antenna – which further makes the device easy to carry around.

As for the release date, Novatel said the Ovation MC935D will be available in the second quarter of this year.
