Verizon offering Glyde Refresh?

Some time ago, we talked about Verizon Glyde’s problems with the touchscreen. Apparently, software update wasn’t able to fix all the issues, hence Samsung decided to change the screen. As a result, capacitive touchscreen is dumped for the resistive one, meaning you won’t be able to read the screen’s contents on a sunny day, but the phone should work properly. Speaking of that, I never realized the Glyde used a capacitive touchscreen like the iPhone and HTC Dream/Magic do.
Anyway, according to some people from HowardForums a new Glyde Refresh is available and it works perfectly. The UPC on the box is 6-35753-47680-4, so if you’re into Glyde make sure to remember / write down that number and look for it prior to pouring out any cash/cards from your wallet. Hopefully, we’ll hear something official from either Samsung or Verizon (NYSE: VZ) in the meantime.
