Good Technology at CTIA: Good for Enterprise 6.0, Good Works and the iPhone support

Good Technology, which was recently sold by Motorola to Visto, had a plenty of news to announce at this year’s CTIA Wireless in Las Vegas. Let’s roll through all of them, shall we:

• First they’ve announced the general availability of Good for Enterprise 6.0, which includes the new Good Mobile Control, Good Mobile Access and enhancements to Good Mobile Messaging. Good Mobile Control offers device management and security through browser-based console that allows IT to monitor mobile devices; while Good Mobile Access provides a managed mobile VPN service that gives employees secure, always-on access to corporate applications behind the firewall without requiring IT to invest time or money in proprietary SDK development. As for Good Mobile Messaging 6.0, it comes with new features designed to enable business users to get things done more easily and to provide greater personalization options: voice-activated dialing, sharing RSS news feeds and scheduled email synchronization intervals. • Then we’ve heard them debuting Good Works, the new initiative to “deliver on the possibilities of mobility in the business, government and consumer market segments.” It consists of the mentioned Good for Enterprise, Good for Government and Good for You. (release)
• Finally, Good Technology announced the iPhone support, streamlining enterprise iPhone deployments, as a result. With this move, Apple (NSDQ: AAPL)’s handset joins other platforms supported by Good — including Windows Mobile 6 and 6.1, Symbian S60, and Palm (NSDQ: PALM) OS. (release)

There you have it. Enterprise folks should be happy with these “Good” announcements, right?
