Canadians looking to get their hands on the latest touchscreen devices will be pleased to know that Telus (NYSE: TU) officially launched the Samsung Omnia yesterday! We’ve been reading more and more about the Omnia over the past few weeks, at least it seems that way. The Omnia comes with Windows Mobile 6.1, a 3.2″ touchscreen display, 8GB of storage, a 5MP camera, WiFi, and a small touch sensitive directional pad at the bottom of the device. Telus has the Omnia up for grabs at $129.99 on a 3-year deal. Verizon (NYSE: VZ) in the US has the same device for $99, which is about right when you consider currency conversion ($99 USD = $123 CAD). Canadians can also pick up the Samsung Omnia from Telus on 2-year, 1-year or no contract options, from $349.99, $449.99 and $499.99 respectively.
