Another company is joining what seems as promising, although niche market. It’s Vdopia with its iVdopia, the iPhone ad platform and network, which prides itself to offer the “most potent means to engage users” with the widest range of ad formats.
iVdopia provides application developers with a large inventory of brand advertisements as well as the ability to serve their own ad campaigns. Their idea is to go well beyond banner ads, providing both advertisers and publishers/developers with a range of ad formats such as pre-app videos, logo placements, and sponsorship ads. Moreover, iVdopia enables complete analytics for both applications and advertisements, including information on how many times an application or advertisement reaches users, how long users stay engaged and how many times they play ads…

I recently found out about iVdopia and it’s launch of the first “real” iPhone 3G App Ad Network & PLATFORM. I recently created a iPhone App Developer Account on iVdopia’s free platform and found it extremely easy to navigate.
I’d say it’s similar if not better than the early trend Facebook created for app developers when opening up to third parties. Only, now iVdopia is for mobile devices.. iPhone for now, but rumors are already circulating about iVdopia on Android, BlackBerry, etc.
As an app developer, while all the hype for Android, BlackBeery, etc mobile app platforms has increased, I’m not confident at this point that it will be of significant interest to the app developer community. iVdopia Platform is on it’s own level. You can’t compare it on the same playing field as a AdMob.. these guys have it figured out like a chess match.. they are always a couple steps ahead. If you don’t believe me, create an app developer account, get your app approved and see how simple, yet perfect their technology is to use.
Apparently these guys are young, smart and have a pretty small, tight team. I heard one of the co-founders; Mike Coppola is out of New York City who runs the business side helping connect advertisers with developers on the platform and they also have office in Silicon Valley where the other founders are located working on technologies.
Could this be the next Google? I’m an early believer and I’m going to be able to make a heck of a lot more money for my hard work, then crossing my fingers for people to by my app in the store. Free apps = ad revenue for me!
