samsung-omniahd-i8910-fccSamsung’s upcoming Samsung OmniaHD, er, we mean Samsung i8910 is well on its way to the US. The FCC has just approved the Samsung i8910 for duty in the US. We have confirmation that the Samsung i8910 will hit our shores with full 3G compatibility on the 1900Mhz band – which is the specific frequency band that AT&T is abandoning for their 3G services. Of course, there’s also support for GSM/EDGE data on the 850Mhz and 1900Mhz frequency bands. Given the i8910′s support for the single 1900Mhz WCDMA band, we have to wonder how the handset will perform on AT&Ts’ 3G network.

Pricing and availability are still unknown, but we’re sure Samsung will drop more info on us soon enough.

i think their support for ONLY 1900MHz/ 3G is kind of a small mistake in the documentation; which may happen sometimes.

wish the Samsung Omnia HD accuatly had 3G 850Mhz so it can be with Telstra 21Mbits/s Next G Network here in Australia but least it supports 3G 900MHz which is what Optus Australia uses for their Yes G Network but i think Telstra is accuatly better after all Telstra covers 99% of this countries population with 3G
