Late last night, after watching press conference after press conference, I recalled that The Masters was due to release their own app in the App Store… I had in fact written about it a little while ago. Wondering if it was available (should be, I though) I popped open the App Store on my iPhone… Sure enough, there it was!
The Masters Golf Tournament app for the iPhone is a free download, and is an absolute must have for any golf junkie… especially for those that are big fans of the tournament. The app features a comprehensive video section, where you can pull up highlights, and even live coverage from different areas on the course. Today for example, you can use the app to pull up live coverage of the annual par 3 contest that takes place on the short course at Augusta. Very cool. There’s also a handy leaderboard feature that allows you to view tee times, groupings, scores and more. Lastly, the ‘course’ tab within the app lets you take a guided tour of the course. Check out the entire overview of the property, or pin it down to each hole.. There are even video flyovers for each hole!
Truly, if you love The Masters as much as I do, you’ve got to get this app. If you’re going to be away from the TV at any point during play on Thursday through Sunday, load up this bad boy and you’ll always have the latest Masters coverage right in the palm of your hand!
