Novarra unveils Vision Mobile 8.0 mobile web browser

Novarra is out with the new version of their mobile web browser – Vision Browser 8.0. Of course, the idea is to reach mass market, hence they’re pitching their offering to operators and device manufacturers, primarily.

Like that’s the case with some other mobile web browsers like Skyfire and Bolt, Vision Browser provides full, rich web browsing, widgets, and streaming video on both feature and smart phones. The browsing is done through proxy, hence Novarra can provide operators with analytics and reporting tools, so they could understand customer behavior.

To sum things up, the Vision Browser 8.0 features include:

  • Seven user viewing options including Snapshot, Slideshow, PC magnifier, pan and zoom, as well as personal password manager and other usability enhancements
  • “Touch-to-focus” for touch screens, enhanced fonts and content prioritization enhancements for easy viewing and navigation
  • Embedded widget runtime engine and icon-based on-device portal for app store UI and next generation services
  • SSL handling for secure site access and transactions
  • Expanded multimedia, Flash and streaming video support
