Yup. We’re definitely marching closer to the iPhone OS 3.0’s launch in the middle of this year. On the way there, Apple (NSDQ: AAPL) will likely keep releasing beta-updates of the iPhone OS 3.0 to iPhone developers. The latest, the iPhone 3.0 OS Beta 3, is now available to iPhone devs to tinker with.
iPhone OS 3.0 beta 3 isn’t anything to write home about, but we’re sure the developers out there will appreciate the bug fixes and performance increases. iPhone OS 3.0 adds support for in-App purchases and location-data, which is pretty much the highlight of this beta (as far as we can tell).
