Behold, another new BlackBerry (NSDQ: RIMM) device has hit the market, albeit one we’ve mostly seen before. The BlackBerry Curve 8350i is now available on Spring/Nextel without the ever familiar camera on-board. It comes complete with all of the same features as the original, including WiFi, full QWERTY keyboard, GPS, speakerphone, bluetooth, voice dialing and more. So, if you’re more business minded and have no time for an on-board camera that will only distract and amuse your employees… You can pick one up from Nextel/Sprint (NYSE: S) right now for $149.99 on a 2-year contract, after instant savings and mail-in rebate.

For more information, specs, plan details and more, head on over to Sprint.

I don’t get why it doesn’t include a camera, although personally I wouldn’t mind. For me a camera is mostly fluff and unnecessary, particularly in a business-centered device. Thanks for the review, look forward to actually using this new BB.

I use the photo camera and video camera on my 8350i all the time. We do manufacturing of all sorts, and I send pictures all over the country and to a variety of customers and other employees. I find it the absolute eaisest thing to snap a shot and email it to someone, video too if the reciever supports it. Its a must for us. Anmyone on a site away from a main office has the potential to use this very useful tool.

  3. Renu says:

The usage of Phone feature differs from workplace to work place. In IT/ITES sector, only non-camera mobiles are allowed on the client floors. There are very few options available for people like us who have to leave their phone outside our workplace, which, disconnects us from rest of the world.

I think this launch is a prudent decision and I am going for this one !
