HTC Touch Diamond2 hitting online store shelves!

The wait is just about over. We’ve been keeping a close eye on the HTC Touch Diamond2 and its complement of high-end smartphone features since HTC announced the device at Mobile World Congress 2009. Today, we’re seeing the first batch of unlocked HTC Touch Diamond2 handsets hitting virtual store shelves on Expansys and Devicewire!
The HTC Touch Diamond2 features a gloriously high-resolution 3.2-inch VGA touchscreen, 5-megapixel camera, 3G data, GPS, WiFi and all sorts of TouchFLO 3D goodness that’s sure to please even that hardest-core of Windows Mobile fans. But, if you want to be the first kid on your block with the new Diamond2 in-hand, you’re going to have to pay a pretty penny.
Expansys is offering a £30 voucher that should net you an unlocked HTC Touch Diamond2 for £409.99 ($614) when the device becomes available sometime today. Devicewire is carrying the HTC Touch Diamond2 for £449.99 ($672).
We’ll have to wait a bit longer to see any sort of branded, subsidized HTC Touch Diamond2 hitting carrier networks around the world. But, with the unlocked Diamond2 already going live, we probably won’t have to wait much longer.
