Samsung i8910 coming as the Omnia HD in Italy

Few days ago we wrote that Samsung decided to change the name of its new flagship device Omnia HD into simply i8910. Well, that ain’t gonna happen, at least not in all markets.

Apparently, the Korean giant will push its 8 megapixel-equipped smartphone in Italy under the “good ol’” Omnia brand, keeping the original name – Omnia HD. Moreover, to highlight the device’s powerful video capabilities, Samsung will use the upcoming blockbuster movie, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, for the launch.

Samsung’s strategy seems to differentiate its sub-brands by regions.
