Gadget Show Live 2009: Flip

Any of you that read my posts regularly will know that I’ve a bit of thing about recording mobile video of late. The Tech has changed SO MUCH in the last 12 months, it is ridiculous.

Pioneers in the budget “mobile” video recording devices market were Flip – purveyors of the the Mino, and now, the Mino HD. The Mino range is very distinctive, particularly the flip-out USB connector – yes, this thing plugs right in to your PC/Mac:

I spent a bit of time today checking out the Flip Mino HD device, which has 4GB internal memory, records 720p-HD (about an hours’ worth), and has this very slick USB connectivity too.

The only downside I saw was that the LCD display on the back of the device is very small – about 1.5 inches across, and for HD, that seems a bit of shame. However the ease of use of the Flip plays in it’s favour greatly. Point and shoot has never been so apt!
