Sony Ericsson to Cut 2,000 Jobs

After losing an exec and having some drastically disappointing Q1 ‘09 results, Sony Ericsson (NYSE: SNE) is about to dish out 2,000 pink slips in order to make up 358m Euros in losses.  These are certainly hard times for Sony Ericsson, but if they can hold out until the fall, when the 12 megapixel-camera toting Idou supposedly comes out, Sony Ericsson will be sitting pretty. In the meantime, lower-end handsets like the S312,  and W205 will have to tide ‘em over.
