Hitomebo

Here’s a neat and kinda useful location-aware app. The so called Hitomebo (translated version of the page is here) is designed to take advantage of mobile phone’s built-in GPS, to help users remember where they’ve spotted a good looking someone.

Moreover, the application can also work as a matchmaking tool in case two people interested in each other happen to use the app at the same time, at the same place. And while I’m not sure how this works in real life — how to distinguish a person you’re interested in from the rest of the crowd — I must admit, it does sound like fun. Best of all, once a match has been made, both parties will receive a notification to start chatting.

Alternatively, we’re hearing Hitomebo could be used to help facilitate meetings, though that doesn’t sound like fun at all. ;)
