April 21 T-Mobile Event Centered Around the Sidekick LX?
By James Falconer on Monday, April 20th, 2009 at 6:19 AM PST In Announcements, Devices, Rumors, T-Mobile

Here’s an interesting twist… It was highly rumored and speculated that the event T-Mobile (NYSE: DT) is holding tomorrow would be focused on the launch of a next-gen Android device. There were also a few rumblings out there that had the event featuring a new BlackBerry (NSDQ: RIMM) device… I’m sorry to report this, but after the news I’ve been reading thus far this morning, it looks like all of that could be steaming hogwash. The latest news from Gizmodo puts tomorrow’s event all about the launch of the Sidekick LX. No Android love, no BlackBerry love… Boo-urns. Guess we’ll find out tomorrow for sure.
A few key features of the quad-band Sidekick LX:
- full QWERTY keyboard
- 3G data
- GPS
- Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP
- microSD storage
- 3.2MP camera with video recording
- 3-6 hrs/voice and 6-8 hrs/standby per charge
