Nokia Friend View updated to include friend alerts

Remember Friend View, Nokia (NYSE: NOK)’s location-aware Twitter-like app for Symbian S60 smartphones? Well, it has been recently updated to include friend alerts in the mix.

Now the application can run in the background in “Normal” or “Active” modes and a “pling-plung” from Friend View will tell you that your friend is close by so you can meet.

Of course, you can tweak setting to adjust the Friend alerts’ meeting zone and define how close your friends should be to get alerted.

Aside from this new feature, Friend View is also updated with small enhancements and bug fixings… Download page is the same.
