Google Launches Mobile Product Search for Android and iPhone

By Simon Sage on Thursday, April 23rd, 2009 at 10:12 AM PST In Mobile Web

Google (NSDQ: GOOG) has mobilized their product search feature for the Apple (NSDQ: AAPL) iPhone and their own Android OS, so now you can easily check for prices when you need them most – while you’re at the store. Easy sorting options, access to user reviews, and technical specifications are all nice touches. Although Google has the page formatted specifically for iPhone and Android, you can still make product searches on BlackBerry (NSDQ: RIMM), it just doesn’t look as pretty – maybe we’ll see Shopping Results built into Google’s tailor-made app in the near future. The Big G has a huge stable of web services that they can port over to mobile at their whim, and it’s always a nice surprise when they do. Right now product search available in the UK and US only, just hit up google.com on your mobile browser to give it a shot.
