National Geographic’s Duet D888 can work with two SIM cards

National Geographic has partnered with Cellular Abroad to create the Duet D888 candybar phone. The “Duet” parts means that this device can accept two SIM cards, allowing users to simply insert a local pre-paid card when travelling, while at the same time keeping their regular number in the other SIM slot.
Aside from this very useful feature, the Duet D888 doesn’t impresses with the rest of the specs. The phone sports a tri-band (900/1800/1900MHz) GSM radio (no 3G), 2 megapixel camera, 2.8-inch QVGA screen, Bluetooth, FM radio, media player, and a microSD memory card slot. Size wise, National Geographic’s baby measures 111×50x17 mm, and has a weight of 112 grams.
Beyond E-Tech is reportedly manufacturing the phone and we can see they’re selling it for $349, which is kinda steep…
