The Samsung T349 has shown up on what looks like an internal T-Mobile document, featuring most prominently a 20-key layout for fast messaging. Sounds an awful lot like BlackBerry’s SureType, but we won’t get our hate on – in fact, Samsung probably licensed it from RIM. Here are the specs:
- 20-key keypad
- 1.3 megapixel camera w/ video capture
- SMS, MMS, Email and IM
- Bluetooth
- Speakerphone
- Photo caller ID, alarm clock, calculator,
- Mobile backup
- GPRS connectivity
The doc says the T349 is T-Mobile’s first prepaid phone in a year, but the Renew, launched in February, shows up bright as day in their prepaid catalog. Whatever the case, expect the T349 on T-Mobile as of May 20th.
