Anyone looking/needing to find an FTP program for their BlackBerry (NSDQ: RIMM) will want to take a look at the popular BeFTP from BEIKS. The app has just been updated to version 2.2, and the update includes some very important features, including:
- Upload functionality
- Folder download
- Manual FTP command line execution
- Wi-Fi and other connection modes
The official description of BeFTP from BEIKS:
BeFTP is a simple FTP client for BlackBerry devices. BeFTP allows downloading files directly to the handheld or to a media card as well as some essential file browser functions such as browsing, folder creation, file deletion etc.
There’s no SFTP available in BeFTP, but the app should do the trick if you need basic FTP functionality. To pick up your copy, head on over to the product page and click the download button. But seriously, if you need the app to remember new connections you make (free version does not remember any connections you setup), you’ll want to upgrade to the full version for $10. You can read more and pick up an official license over at BEIKS.
