Motorola Napoleon Goes through FCC
By Simon Sage on Tuesday, April 28th, 2009 at 10:08 AM PST In FCC, Motorola, Verizon
The fate of the Motorola (NYSE: MOT) Napoleon had been in question, but is clearly still due to land on Verizon (NYSE: VZ) after going through FCC testing. Bearing the A4500 model number, this Windows Mobile handset follows closely behind it Motorola Q predecessors, and has a good shot at taking up the mantle when Verizon picks it up. As if it didn’t tread closely enough to BlackBerry (NSDQ: RIMM), it’s even carrying “World Edition” branding. Still, it’s a decent smartphone, looking at the specs:
- World-roaming, quad-band GSM, EV-DO
- Wi-Fi, GPS, Stereo Bluetooth
- Windows Mobile 6.1
- 2 megapixel camera
- Fingerprint scanner
We still haven’t heard an official peep from Motorola or Verizon, but you can check out the FCC for a closer look.
