ZTE wants to add its “3G touch” to just about any product

Chinese ZTE has unveiled its “3G strategy” with the goal to deliver its “3G terminal networks” for TD-SCDMA, CDMA and WCDMA-based products. The range includes nine different terminal categories and 40 product types such as netbooks, monitors, digital photo frames, wireless phones, home gateways, modules, wireless walkie-talkies, as well as typical mobile phones and data cards. In a nutshell, we may expect to see tons of announcements from ZTE and their respective partners.
To date, ZTE has applied for and filed over 3G-related 1,000 patents. Among the company’s partners are major operators like Vodafone (NYSE: VOD), Telefonica (NYSE: TEF), and Hutchison… Full release is available from ZTE’s website.
