Sony Ericsson’s Themes Creator tool gets an update

Sony Ericsson (NYSE: SNE)’s popular Themes Creator tool has been recently updated to make theme creation process easier than ever. Thanks to the simplified three-step workflow, just about anyone can make professional-looking themes for Sony Ericsson phones. Moreover, the application features three editing modes (Wizard, Advanced and XML Editor), and a brand new user interface.
To illustrate how easy is to make a theme, let’s go through the mentioned three-step process:
- Select color scheme using automatic color combinations, color wheel tool or import saved color palettes (Adobe Kuler support is included!)
- Import background images for standby wallpaper, desktop and navigation screens
- Select style using predefined shapes and screen areas
…And you’re ready to go!
Finally, in an effort not to piss users of the old version of the tool, Sony Ericsson made sure backwards compatibility is on place. What this means is that you can still use Adobe Flash Lite animations as wallpaper elements (Standby screen)…
