sony-ericsson-w518a-fccLast month we mentioned that Sony Ericsson was working on bringing their popular Sony Ericsson W508 Walkman phone to the US as the GPS-packing Sony Ericsson W518a. Today, we get confirmation that the mid-range Sony Ericsson flip-phone will be making its way to AT&T. The FCC has unveiled the SE W518a with subtle hints that the handset will be headed to AT&T, well, more like “ATT” in this case.

The Sony Ericsson W518a Walkman handset should appeal to music lovers with a penchant for the new and high-tech. The W518a should hit market with gesture- and shake-controls allowing the user to answer phone calls or skip songs with a wave of the hand or with a quick shake of the handset.

Below is a demo video of the Sony Ericsson W508 Walkman phone, which should give you a good idea for the W518a’s headlining features.

Unfortunately, pricing and availability aren’t yet known.
