In what will be one of many Palm Pre launch rumors (I’m sure) to hit us in the weeks to come, BGR has posted a pretty cool sounding rumor regarding the Pre and Best Buy. It seems as though one of their sources has delivered some info putting the Palm Pre at Best Buy (in very limited numbers, 4,500 units to be exact) on June 7th. Best Buy Mobile could begin selling the units on the 7th at the following price points:
- 2-year contract: $199.99
- existing customer upgrade: $299.99
- outright: $999.99 (ouch!)
Pricing is apparently still in discussion, so these numbers could very well change (and probably will change) before the Pre hits the shelves.
