Air Traffic Control for BlackBerry Storm Goes to Version 2.0

By James Falconer on Monday, May 4th, 2009 at 6:52 AM PST In Applications, BlackBerry, Gaming, RIM (Research in Motion)

In one of the best games I’ve seen for the BlackBerry (NSDQ: RIMM) Storm to date, the folks at Mobigloo have done it yet again. This time the BlackBerry gaming goodness comes in the form of a title named ‘Air Traffic Control’. The game is proving to be a best seller, and the good news is… A new version has just been released, bringing Air Traffic Control up to version 2.0. The new version includes the following changes and improvements:

  • Now includes a 3rd scene, Amazon jungle
  • Two new types of plane: Cessna and Water Plane
  • Ability to pause the game
  • Optional slower mode more relaxing
  • Optional clouds in the sky
  • Ability to disable the radar scan line for better focus

Air Traffic Control is available for the BlackBerry Storm for $4.99. Check out the brief intro video above or head on over to MobiHand for more info and purchase details.

A similar title named ‘Flight Control’ is also available for the iPhone. It’s no surprise that this app has been on the best sellers list for a few weeks now. Flight Control is available for only $0.99 in the App Store (iTunes Link).

As a wanna-be pilot, this game sounds awesome.

Does anybody know if it is it only available for the storm, or are there other Blackberrys it can be played on?

    Thanks!
