We’ve been waiting for what seems like ages for Palm and Sprint to launch their highly anticipated Palm Pre. Alas, the world still waits for even a sliver of information on the WebOS-powered smartphone. In fact, Pre-info is so scarce that simple shots of the Palm Pre’s retail packaging have stirred up a buzz in the blogosphere. Now, new rumors have started making their rounds through the intarwebs that indicate Palm and Sprint are prepping to officially announce the Palm Pre in a Wall Street Journal ad on May 19th.
There’s really nothing much more to go on here. At this point, the Palm Pre’s June 7 launch window still seems like the best bet, although the Pre could launch anytime between now and then. We’re expected to hear more about the Palm Pre’s detailed specs as well as pricing and launch information on May 19. Here’s to hoping the launch follows soon afterwards…
