For those who enjoy the lower data usage BlackBerry Maps demands, NACMaps has launched a new application that extends  its capabilities to areas that are normally outside of RIM’s location database.

In especially remote areas you wouldn’t be able to get a street address, and going by straight-up Longitude/Latitude is way too cumbersome, so NACMaps uses a custom-built eight-digit code system for identifying location. Currently, NACMaps covers 67 countries on BlackBerry Maps, and 50 through Google Maps on desktop. If you’re in need for a boost to your mobile maps, you can grab NACMaps for $9.99.
