blackberry tour verizon BlackBerry 9630 Tour Shows up in Verizon DatabaseC’mon, Yanks, you didn’t think Bell and Telus were going to have all the fun with the new BlackBerry (NSDQ: RIMM) 9630 Tour, did ya? The Bold/Curve hybrid BlackBerry built for CDMA will be coming to Verizon (NYSE: VZ), according to internal stock records. Apprently the devices aren’t actually in stock yet, but their codes are there and ready for the first shipment. We were expecting to see an announcement at the big BlackBerry show, WES, last week, but for whatever reason, we came back home empty-handed. If a launch is as imminent as it feels, it will be all the more boggling why they couldn’t squeeze the Tour out for the big show. In any case, this BlackBerry is long overdue, as the last QWERTY-keyboarded BlackBerry to hit CDMA carriers was the 8350i, which is essentially a re-hash of the Curve launched about two years ago. The Storm was a nice gesture, but the folks who mean business will want a real keyboard.
