Email ‘N Walk for iPhone – Because talking and walking is so last year

There used to be a time when the ancient art of “walking and talking” on your cellphone was as revered a talent as “chewing and walking” once was. Alas, nobody walks and talks on their mobile phones anymore – these days, it’s all about “messaging and walking.”

The new-ish art of “messaging and walking,” not to be confused with the banned practice of “messaging while driving,” takes some skill. It can be hard to keep an eye on the path in front of you while trying to tap out a text message or email to your friend. Email ‘N Walk is a simple iPhone application that allows you to type out an email while keeping an eye on the path in front of you. The iPhone app uses the iPhone’s camera to display a live-view of what’s in front of you as you tap away on your iPhone’s keyboard – it essentially overlays an email client on top of the iPhone’s camera “viewfinder,” acting as a window into the world just ahead of your toes. Never again will you run over an innocent dog because you were too busy getting the down-low on the night’s festivities.
