blackberry curve 8900 BlackBerry Curve 8900 user test success!Well it’s nice sometime to cut loose and just write about good things in Mobile. For example, I like SpinVox – it’s blisteringly simple, does what it says on the tin, but saves me hours of dialing up for my voicemails!

Another good thing is the BlackBerry (NSDQ: RIMM) Curve – thanks to the kind PR types at RIM, I’ve been trialing one for a while, and most of what I have to say is full of superlatives:

Screen – GREAT!

Button response – AWESOME!

Battery life – SUPERB!

I could go on, but you get the idea. For me actually, being a heavy user, the battery life was heading toward being the must important thing – the amount of calls, emails, and texts I get through in a day is a truly frightening amount – and yet the Curve handled it all with aplomb! I also love the neat little touches like the keyboard lock toggle button on the top of the device – and did I mention the styling – lurvely!

Only two small niggles do I have: one is the flimsy back / battery door, and the other is the use of a micro-USB connector for the charger etc. The battery door is unforgivable, but the change in connector is just pain – I already own two RIM chargers for mini-USB … darn, looks like I am buying more then :-)

Overall, a fab device, and highly recommended by my good self – now it’s been out a while, you can get a good deal with your local operator, as many of them are carrying it.

You can read the official RIM webpages for the 8900 here.

[Thanks to Lisa for the device loan!]
