WeFi goes Android

WeFi, the company behind the community-based global Wi-Fi network, announced the launch of a version of its free software for the Android platform, offering users automatic access to the best WiFi connection available.

Users can download the free WeFi application either directly from the WeFi website or by searching for WeFi in Android Market — it’s listed under “Applications / Communication” category. Then you can easily connect to any of a number of available WeFi hotspots. The software automatically connects you to the best connection available, and if the connection is lost, WeFi will reconnect to another available open Wi-Fi hotspot.

For the record, there are more than 21 million access points available in WeFi’s network and that number keeps growing constantly.
