Sega

These are not good times for Glu Soft. Recently the mobile gaming company has lost Hasbro account to EA Mobile, and now we have SEGA switching to Gameloft.

Under the deal, Gameloft will be entitled to develop, publish and distribute some SEGA mobile games. Glu has a multi-title deal with SEGA in place and at this stage, we’re not sure what will come out from that.

We do, however, know that the first game Gameloft will publish on behalf of SEGA is Sonic Unleashed, which will be released next month.

Commenting on scoring the SEGA account, Gameloft’s Michel Guillemot said: “We are confident this agreement will be the first step towards a long term partnership between Gameloft and SEGA. SEGA’s great brands coupled with Gameloft’s long standing history of excellence in mobile game development can only result in an extraordinary mobile experience for consumers.”
