Have you heard of Samsung m850 Dash?

invisibleSHIELD for Samsung m850 Dash

This is the first time we’re hearing about the Samsung m850 Dash. The menu on the image above looks pretty much like the one used on the Sprint (NYSE: S) Instinct, which we’re not seeing in that form outside of the U.S. Is it the next Instinct device, the one that will supersede the current Instinct S30 model — it looks a bit slicker? Or that’s maybe the Instinct kind-of-device for the rest of the world? Maybe a GSM version? All we know is that invisibleSHIELD/ZAGG is advertising its protection solution for the phone. Hopefully, we’ll have more to share on the m850 Dash in the coming days and/or weeks. Stay tuned in the meantime…

I think there is a video call camera on the left side and the accelerometer is on the right. You can also see the cut out on the screen protector. GSM!

Previously there was a 2009 Sprint Roadmap leaked on Engadget and it shows that there are going to be two Instincts running side by side thru Sprint. That the s30(m810) was taking up the lower spot to be the more affordable Instinct, an entry level touch device accessable to most. In reality it was just a reworked m800 which lost a few features and came with less shwag in order to drive the price lower. Then there is going to be an Instinct 2 which is going to be a full featured device which will have EVDO Rev A, Wifi and a 5.0mp camera. Which is designed to entice the more leading edge crowd.

The questions about whether it would be a GSM version, or an overseas phone seems like a stretch especially being that the phone pictured thru Zagg has a Sprint logo right on it. :)

Also the phone pictured on the roadmap looks just like this phone. But the one on the roadmap had the same interface as the Samsung Impression. But the specs listed out next to it says Brew 4.0 Instinct UI. So keep holding your breath if you love your Instincts, the m850 was supposed to be released Q2 2009, but it looks like its moving back to Q3. I think I’m actually going to be skipping over the Pre being I already have a G1(work phone) and dont need another smartphone. But I would like a touchscreen phone as my personal phone. Plus I really loved the accuracy of the Samsung touchscreens and how great the osk worked on the s30. Hope this gives some insight.
