LG Glance, LG enV3 and LG enV Touch get official for Verizon Wireless

As expected, LG’s hitting Verizon (NYSE: VZ) Wireless with new-generation handsets, and they’re hitting hard. Verizon Wireless has just announced three new LG handsets for this year. The LG Glance will apparently arrive on Big Red as an affordable monoblock (candybar) sporting a slim waistline, with the LG enV3 picking up where the LG enV2 left off. And, on the higher end of the spectrum, we have the LG enV Touch doing its touchscreen thing as the successor to the LG Voyager.

Left to right: LG Glance, LG enV3, LG enV Touch
The super-slim LG Glance features a 1.3-megapixel camera and some sort of fancy “woven metal” battery cover. The name of the game here is “affordability.” The LG enV3 improves on the enV2’s spec-sheet with a 3-megapixel camera, EVDO and Visual Voicemail. Like the original, the LG enV3 features a smaller display and numeric keypad on its exterior face, with a larger display and QWERTY keyboard lying underneath the sideways clamshell. The LG enV3 can expand storage with a microSD card. And, finally, the LG enV Touch turns up the “cool” factor a couple notches with not just one, but two WVGA displays. Like its predecessor, the LG Voyager, the enV Touch features a touchscreen on its exterior face, opening up to reveal a WVGA display and QWERTY keyboard. LG rounds out the enV Touch’s feature set with a 3.2-megapixel auto-focus camera, microSD card slot, image editor and 3.5mm headphone jack.
Expect to see the LG Glance and LG enV Touch launching on June 5 for $49.99 and $149.99, respectively (after applicable mail-in rebates are applied). The LG enV3 will set you back $129.99 starting tomorrow (rebates apply). All prices are only valid when purchased with new 2-year contract.

LG enV Touch available for sale on Best Buy for a whopping $599.99. This is much more than the anticipated $219.99 with a new two-year agreement with Verizon, so we’re guessing this is the full price without a contract. Also, somebody at Best Buy must have jumped the gun because the original estimate was that the enV Touch was to be in stores starting June 5
Share your views at http://www.Env-Touch.com I just can’t believe the price Verizon wants for this phone.
The LG enV3 VX9200 for verizon is the successor to lg env2, there is not much changes in design, but the env3’s front face does look more attractive now. Also, the design of the LG enV3 is a little smoother and less calculator-looking. It is much thinner and lighter than lg dare, which is why I prefer the env3.

OMG i’m so mad! I just bought the env2 around May 20th! I didn’t know the env3 was coming out so soon!! :[
looking forward to the LG enV Touch. Just tried out a voyager and loved it everything except the fact you could hardly hear the ringtone. I took it back thinking it was a problem with the phone, they pulled another one out and it was the same. I am a enV lover I have had one for 2yrs and love it, however it has been used A LOT! and starting to show it. Voyager returned, just sitting patiently waiting for the LG env Touch because if the ringtone is loud enough IT IS MINE!
seaan return the enV2 and get the enV3! You have a month to return the phone if you don’t like it! You will like the enV3 a lot better than the enV2 trust me!
if you purchased the phone through verizon.. you have 30 days to return it for another without paying full price.. you just need to pay the difference
When is the LG enV3 and enV Touch releasing in Canada?
Is there anyway ANYHOW to use a SIM card for this phone? I heard that Verizon was converting from CDMA to GSM. So, I couldn’t help but wonder.
There are out now son.
