If your pricey Sony Ericsson (NYSE: SNE) XPERIA X1 has left you wanting a little more in the way of cell-signal reception, you’ll be happy to hear that the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 firmware update that we’d been expecting is now live and ready to boost the signal strength on your high-end WinMo smartphone. The XPERIA X1 R3A firmware update also increases the keyboard backlight intensity, speeds up the media panel (as part of the Panel UI), and improves touchscreen responsiveness (resistive touchscreen, in this case).
X1 owners will want to hit up Sony Ericsson’s device update website here. You’ll be whisked away to the land of updated Windows Mobile firmwares, where you’ll be allowed to update your XPERIA X1 with ease.
As with all updates, back up your data first!
